A fast-moving, well-funded AI start-up based in Seattle is hiring experienced Backend Engineers to help build and scale its core product and infrastructure. This is an opportunity to contribute at an early stage, shaping a cutting-edge platform that combines robust engineering with advanced AI capabilities.
The company operates on a hybrid basis, combining remote flexibility with in-person collaboration twice a week. Candidates should be based in (or open to relocating to) the Greater Seattle Area.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Develop core backend systems: Build and maintain the services and infrastructure that power an intelligent, AI-driven application.
Explore prompt engineering: Work with large language models to refine performance using advanced prompting techniques — no deep ML research required.
Scale machine learning infrastructure: Design scalable, reliable systems and data pipelines using tools like GCP, Terraform, Vertex AI, and SageMaker.
Productionize ML models: Collaborate with data scientists to deploy and maintain models in production, ensuring reliability, observability, and long-term performance.
Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with product, engineering, and ML teams to deliver integrated solutions that align with product goals.

Cloud & ML Platforms: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Vertex AI, SageMaker
